Despite online rumors to the contrary, there have been no arrests made in the murder of Ciaran Conneely, an Irish immigrant who was gunned down on an Adams Corner side street on Columbus Day. When asked on Sunday afternoon, Boston Police spokesperson Elaine Driscoll said simply: "There have been no arrests."
"The investigation into the homicide of Mr. Conneely remains active but there are no arrests to report at this time," said Driscoll, who said reports circulating on Facebook and social media about an arrest are "inaccurate."
