Federal and local officials announced the indictments of 12 men on charges they ran drugs and Codman Square, Uphams Corner and the Warren Gardens apartment complex in Roxbury.

Indicted: James Boyd, James Jones, Deondre Snow, Tyson Jenkins, Michael Negron, Shaheed Flowers and Randy Ogie of Dorchester and Byron Dudley of Roxbury. Three suspects who are still at large were not named in a statement.

Officials said they targeted the three areas because of their high rates of violence and drug sales and that the indictments followed a three-month investigation.
