The Boston Police Department reports a woman crossing the street at Dorchester Avenue and Dix Street around 9 p.m. yesterday was hit by a vehicle that then kept going.
In a statement, police said, "On arrival, officers located the victim, a pedestrian, lying face down in the roadway. The victim, a 42 year-old female, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where she’s being treated for life threatening injuries."
Police say the vehicle was possibly cream colored.
