Snow Emergency: The city of Boston was under a snow emergency order for the third time in the new year this week, as a pair of winter storms swept through the region. The city's second snow emergency in less than a week kicks into effect on Tuesday morning as the region braces for a pair of snow storms. A parking ban will start at 9 a.m. to give city work crews a jump on clearing main thoroughfares in time for what could be a very difficult afternoon commute.
Mayor Menino has once again activated the City of Boston Storm Center. Residents with storm-related questions or concerns should call the Mayor's 24-Hour Hotline at (617) 635-4500.
