A man who was shot in the head as he sat behind the wheel of his car on Levant Street in Dorchester early Sunday morning is in stable condition, according to a Boston Police account of the incident obtained by The Reporter.
Police who descended on the scene just before 2 a.m. for a call of “shots fired” found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of his head and saw a bullet hole in the windshield. The BPD report indicated that the bullet was visibly lodged in the man’s head.
The victim said he was sitting with this girlfriend “when shots rang out and he could not remember anything else.”
The shooting happened near the corner of Levant and Tebroc streets in the Bowdoin-Geneva section of Dorchester.
No arrests have yet been reported, but detectives collected ballistic evidence at the scene and are actively investigating the case.
