Updated 8:06 pm., July 5 -- A man who was shot several times at Brookford and Dacia streets around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday died not long after at Boston Medical Center, the Boston Police Department reports. Police identified the victim Thursday evening as Luis Martin Pinales-Perez, 31, of Boston.

According to the Boston Police Department, officers from Roxbury responded to a call for a person shot at about 9:50 p.m on July 4. Pinales-Perez was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and had life threatening injuries, police said. He transported to Boston Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police have not made any arrests in the shooting and encourage anyone with information to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Pinales-Perez's shooting came about three hours after four adults were shot on Fayston Street, near Dunkeld Street - and near a kiddie bounce house that had been set up for the holiday. One of the people was taken away in such such poor condition that the police homicide unit was called in just in case. One victim was found several blocks away, at Maywood Street near Blue Hill Avenue.

Around 10:20 p.m., police report officers arrested a man they say fired a gun into the air at Claridge Terrace and Wentworth Street.

Police report Hakim Jackson, 31, of Jamaica Plain, now faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
