A man was killed in a hit-and-run on Washington Street on Wednesday morning, according to police.

The unidentified man was struck by a driver at about 8:05 a.m. in the area of 323 Washington Street, Boston Police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances of the crash are under investigation, but police say the female driver was being questioned Wednesday morning.
