The Boston Police Department reports a man shot on Bailey Street at Dorchester Avenue Saturday evening died.

The man was shot shortly before 6 p.m., police say. He appeared at the Carney Hospital with another man, also bleeding. That man was treated and released for a laceration. The more seriously injured man, shot to the chest, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he died, police say.
