•Parking ban in the City of Boston will be lifted at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Mayor Walsh.
•Boston Public Schools are closed on Wednesday, January 28. Mayor Walsh said today that a decision has not yet been made on school for Thursday, Jan. 29. He expects to make one by early evening.
• MBTA resumed service on Wednesday morning.
• Do not walk in the street unless for emergency reasons. Plow drivers have reported close calls with people wearing hats and headphones.
• Carbon Monoxide poisoning remains a top concern. Remember to keep exhaust pipes and vents clear of snow. Sitting in a car while idling can be deadly if the tailpipe is blocked. Do not let children sit in an idling car while shoveling. Clear any household exhaust pipes of snow.

Photo by Bill ForryThe governor cautioned that wet snow and high winds, particularly in Plymouth, Bristol and Barnstable counties, could cause power outages for hundreds of thousands of residents that may last for days as utilities work through extreme conditions to restore power.
