A Suffolk Superior Court Jury on Friday acquitted a Roxbury man charged with the 2010 homicide of 54-year-old Victor Brookens. Luis Pimentel, 20, was charged with first-degree murder for Brookens’ shooting death inside his own Samoset Street apartment on Dec. 6, 2010. Prosecutors had argued that Pimentel pulled a gun on Brookens and shot him during a drug deal.
