A 21-year-old Georgia man has been arrested and charged in a 2023 murder on Columbia Road, according to Boston Police. The 33-year-old victim— Daniel Mayers of Haverhill— was shot to death on May 22, 2023 just before 5 p.m. in the 200 block of Columbia Road.

Amar Williams, 21, of Acada, Georgia, was arrested on March 6 at Boston Police headquarters. The arrest followed “an extensive investigation into the murder,” police said. Williams is charged with murder and carrying a firearm without a license. He is expected to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court.
