A man and a woman were shot at Gladeside Avenue and Donwood Terrace in Mattapan around 12:25 p.m. on Friday.

The man was shot several times; the woman once in the arm. The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The Boston Police Department reports the two were sitting in a car when shot.

The shootings were among at least seven across Boston on Friday, including a fatal shooting in Ramsay Park in Roxbury, three people shot at the Mildred Hailey Apartments in Jamaica Plain and a person shot at the Mobil station at Blue Hill Avenue and American Legion Highway.
