One woman was killed and five other people were wounded during an overnight shooting in Dorchester's Franklin Field development.

Boston Police report that officers from Area B-3 responded to the scene outside 27 Irma St. around 12:30 a.m. to find an adult woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim — who has not yet been named— was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also found two other people shot nearby and three other victims — all with non-life-threatening injuries— got themselves to a local hospital. No arrests have been reported yet.
