The Boston Police Department reports a man was shot outside 566 Columbia Road, near Hancock Street, around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Andrew Farley, 62, of Dorchester, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

This is Boston's fifth murder, and Dorchester's fourth, in 2020.
