The Boston Police Department reports a man, 55, was fatally shot around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday inside 201 Manchester St., near Cedar Street.
Identified by family as Alexander Allen, the victim was a supervisor and longtime employee of Boston’s Department of Public Works.
Police said Allen was shot repeatedly on Saturday. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His autopsy was scheduled for later in the day Monday, a Boston Police spokesperson confirmed.
He is Boston's 33rd murder victim in 2018 and the fourth murder victim in Mattapan this year.
