Boston Police report that a 29 year-old woman was sexually assaulted near Edward Everett Square on the morning of New Year’s Day. The victim was found in the area of 653 Columbia Rd. at about 6:45 a.m. According a police report, she was grabbed from behind on nearby Annabel Street by an unknown male who then sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was described as about 25 years old, black or Cape Verdean, 5’7”-5’11” with a thin build and a goatee. Police are asking anyone with any information to call detectives at 617-343-4400.
