State Police report a woman crossing Gallivan Boulevard at Milton Avenue to catch a bus was hit by a car around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday.

The woman, 18, was rushed to Boston Medical Center in critical condition, State Police say. Police on Friday said the Hyde Park woman remained in critical condition with severe injuries.

State Police say the 25-year-old male driver of the Pontiac GT stayed at the scene. Investigators have yet to determine whether criminal charges are warranted.

The car is being processed for evidence at a State Police facility, and the investigation is ongoing.
