Man charged with armed robbery of Edward Everett Square market

The Boston Police Department reports arresting Ameen Lacy, 37, on charges he held up the Tedeschi store at 187 E. Cottage St. at gunpoint early on Dec. 23.

Based in part on tips related to surveillance photo from the robbery, police say they identified Lacy as one of the two men who held up the store around 5:30 a.m. that day.

On Wednesday, police obtained a search warrant for a residence at 87 Coleman St., which detectives entered with the help of the BPD SWAT unit. According to a police statement:

"Inside the residence officers located Lacy and 31-year-old Lisette Germosen of Dorchester hiding in a bathroom. Also inside the apartment was 35-year-old Dennis Taylor of Dorchester.
