The Boston Police Department reports a man was found dead around 8:45 p.m. on Friday outside 5 Taft St.

The man, identified as Michael DePina, brother of Joao DePina, who has organized vigils for local murder victims, was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police recovered a gun near DePina's body and motorcycle and a second gun near the Pleasant Street end of the street.
