The Boston Police Department reports a 16-year-old was shot around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday at Ashmont and Ocean streets.

Police report they found witnesses who reported a large group of men at the Dot. Ave. Tedeschi, but no victim. Not long after, however, they found the victim a few blocks away at Washington and Ashmont streets.

He "had no immediate information on the suspect/s" and was taken to Brigham and Women's, where he is expected to survive, police say.
