Local woman arrested in connection with series of bank robberies

The FBI reports the arrest of a Dorchester woman in connection with a string of recent bank robberies across Boston, including two in Dorchester.

Johnna P. Quish, 45, was arrested around 2 p.m. in Danvers on Monday by member's of the FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force, which includes members of local police departments.

The FBI says the task force put Quish under surveillance following a tip from the public after it published photos from four holdups and one holdup attempt, including a Citizens Bank branch on Morrissey Boulevard and a Members Plus Credit Union branch on Gallivan Boulevard this past Friday.

Quish was formally charged with the holdup of a Sovereign Bank branch in the Back Bay on April 13.

Quish had received probation for a 2005 bank robbery in Milton.
