Two charged with gunpoint robbery of livery driver in Mattapan

The Boston Police Department reports a livery driver who picked up two guys at 113 Greenbrier St. yesterday afternoon for a trip to Mattapan had just turned onto Hazleton Street when "one of the suspects put what he thought was a gun to the back of his head and robbed of $400 in cash, his wedding band, his cell phone, Motorola walkie talkie, his earrings and a car radio faceplate."

Police say the driver walked to the District B-3 station at Blue Hill Avenue and Morton Street, where detectives gave him a ride back to Hazelton to see if they could spot the alleged muggers. Police say they spotted the two suspects a block away, on Walk Hill Street. Police continue that when the suspects saw police, they ran into 637 Walk Hill St. Police followed them into the building and to a particular apartment: "Officers, while pursuing the suspects, stopped two other individuals on a balcony attached to the apartment along with another female occupant of the apartment in a bedroom with a child. Other officers pursued the suspects into a bedroom where they a large bag of marijuana protruding from behind a dresser.

Troy Fernandez, 21, and Molijah Burey, 19, both from Dorchester, were charged with armed robbery, police say. Rodney C. Haskin, 22, Philip Henry, 24, and Sharon M. Thibeau, 27, all of Mattapan, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
