Man stabbed repeatedly, in critical condition

Boston Police report arresting a Dorchester man on charges he stabbed another man repeatedly on Inwood Street in Dorchester early this morning.

The victim, 25, found nearby at 57 Davidson St., was taken to Boston Medical Center in critical condition.

Jerome Higgins, 30, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a knife), after being identified by witnesses, police say, adding the witnesses said the two had been fighting when Higgins pulled out a knife.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Channel 7 reports a man was shot in the back on Bernard Street around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.
