(Updated, Dec. 9)- Police confirm that a male victim has died from gunshot wounds sustained inside an apartment at 7 Samoset Street on Tuesday night. Sources tell the Reporter that the victim, 54 year-old Victor Brookens, was the occupant of the third-floor apartment in the three-decker house, which is located on a quiet sidestreet behind St. Mark's Church. Police were called there just before 7:40 p.m.
