October 30, 2009
Confirming what we Tweeted yesterday, U.S. Sen. John Kerry's campaign folks have released his schedule for the weekend, with stops planned in West Roxbury and Mattapan. Kerry, a Vietnam vet who ran for president in 2004 and has been on Capitol Hill since 1984, will be out door-knocking, hitting churches and holding signs for his former political director, Ayanna Pressley. Pressley's City Council campaign has been careful of how to use Kerry, particularly since this is a local election. Kerry has been avidly following the race: he speaks and exchanges text messages with Pressley regularly. (Though when told of Kerry's plans yesterday, one City Council At-Large candidate couldn't resist taking a shot: "Nice to have him in town.") Full weekend schedule after the jump.
