A man was shot at least twice shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday at 73 Ridgewood St., off Draper Street in Dorchester.

The Boston Police Department reports he was pronounced dead at a local hospital. He was later identified by police as 20-year-old Kareem Daveiga-Booth of Brighton.

Possibly as many as seven rounds fired.

This was Dorchester's first murder, and Boston's second, in 2025.
