A Hasbro headquarters for Morrissey corridor?

A front-page story in the Boston Globe today by Shirley Leung cites “multiple people briefed on the matter,” in noting that Hasbro Inc., the Pawtucket-based toymaker, “appears to have narrowed its headquarters search to roughly a half-dozen locations in Boston," including a potential site in Dorchester, as it considers relocating from Rhode Island.

While no decisions have been made, she writes, sources in the real estate industry tell her the company is focusing its search on office buildings near South Station and the Southline complex on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester.

She relates that Hasbro is looking for a property that can accommodate office, and research and development functions, according to people knowledgeable about the search. The company also wants good transportation access from points south of the city, so employees who currently commute to Pawtucket wouldn’t have to move.
