Hammer-McLaughlin inaugural Director of Development Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center

Irene Hammer-McLaughlin

Irene Hammer-McLaughlin has joined Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center as its inaugural Director of Development. Irene comes to Harvard Street from Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she oversaw fundraising for the neurosurgery and neurology departments and managed the fundraising team of its Winship Cancer Institute. Prior to this, she served as a frontline fundraiser at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, and the Alzheimer’s Association. In her new position, she will design and implement a capital campaign to support the construction of a three-story, 42,000-square-foot health center facility and build a sustainable fundraising program for future growth. This marks the first such campaign for Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center – and the first time the health center has hired for this particular role.
