Mayor Wu proclaimed last Wednesday, Jan.18, 2023, as Carla Tankle Day in Boston in honor of the Dorchester resident’s long-time service to the city. She has worked for several years at the Boston Transportation Department (BTD), where she spearheaded communications and projects for the agency.

Tankle recently announced that she would be leaving City Hall to become deputy chief of staff for state Transportation Secretary Gina Fiandaca, whom she served with when Fiandaca was director of BTD.
