A young man was shot to death near St. Peter’s Church on Tuesday evening.

The victim— described as a teenager in some media reports— was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Boston Police, who responded to a call at 344 Bowdoin St. just after 7:15 a.m.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released and there’s no word on suspects. Boston Police say the death marks the city's 54th homicide of the year.
