The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate will host a conversation with former Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy on Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. The talk will center around the role of government in promoting our nation’s public health.

Dr. Murthy, who served as Surgeon General under President Obama from 2013 to 2017, will discuss current public health challenges and the role of government in addressing them.

The program will be moderated by NPR’s Alison Kodjak and is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Advanced registration is recommended at the EMK website.
