The owner of the Boston Globe is apparently closing in on another agreement to sell its former headquarters on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester— but the deal is not finalized.

Tom Hynes, co-chairman and CEO of Collier International, the firm handling the sale for the Globe, said Tuesday that the site was back under agreement, but would not disclose the name of the buyer.

Sean Keohan, the Globe's Chief Operating Officer, later disputed that account, saying there was no signed agreement— yet.

Keohan told the Reporter on Wednesday afternoon: "We do not have an agreement at this time. We are still in the process."

If and when a deal is struck, it will be the third known agreement to sell the 13.5 acre campus at 135 Morrissey Blvd. The most recent deal between the John Henry-owned newspaper company and Center Court, a New York-based real estate company, fell through last May.

Last month, a subsidiary of Center Court purchased an adjacent site, the former WLVI-TV building at 75 Morrissey Blvd. for $14.5 million.
