Kick off the holiday season at the seventh annual Lower Mills Holiday Stroll on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 5:30-8 p.m. Shop, stroll and dine at over 40 local shops, restaurants, and small businesses in the Dorchester Lower Mills, Milton Village and Central Avenue area. The event will begin with a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at Meetinghouse Bank.
The businesses will be staying open late to offer special discounts, coupons and samplings. Enjoy Victorian carolers, photos with Santa, and hot chocolate stops on the route. Visit the beautiful Baker Chocolate Artists Lofts to see original art by resident artists, and meet historian Anthony Sammarco, who will be signing his books on Baker Chocolate and Howard Johnson; ride the free trolley from Carney Hospital to the Forbes House Museum, with several stops along the way.
A shuttle from Standish Village (Lower Mills) to Central Avenue will also be running. Pick up maps at participating sites or on the trolley.
