The Lower Mills Merchant Association has established a scholarship fund to benefit students currently enrolled in grades 5-12 who live in Lower Mills or attend a fee-based schools in Lower Mills. Students in grades 5-8 and 9-12 may apply.

Scholarships awarded will be made payable directly to the educational organization. The required essay question is: "What do you like about living and going to school in the Lower Mills area?"

The essay must include the student’s name, parent’s name, address, phone number, email address and current school and grade. Essays should be mailed by December 15 to Lower Mills Scholarship Fund c/o Meetinghouse Bank, 2250 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, MA. 02124.
