7 days to Nov. 5. The media consortium’s debate is the only item on State Rep. Marty Walsh’s public schedule for today. City Councillor At-Large John Connolly has three items, including the debate, a meet-and-greet with seniors and state Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, and a neighborhood party in Roxbury.

THAT CONNOLLY FUNDRAISING STORY: A Globe story that goes behind the scenes of a Connolly campaign finance committee meeting had political observers scratching their heads yesterday, since there wasn't much good news for Connolly in there. Takeaways: The Connolly lead is gone and the Walsh camp has a massive get-out-the-vote organization. In short, with a week left in the race, Connolly is the underdog.

WALSH AD STARTED AIRING LAST NIGHT: An ad featuring three of the former rivals that endorsed him -- Felix Arroyo, John Barros and Charlotte Golar Richie -- aired last night. It's on YouTube here.
