#BosPoli Round-Up for Friday, June 7

District 8 Councillor Michael Ross and TOUCH 106.1 FM co-founder Charles Clemons are on the mayoral ballot, their campaigns said Friday. Clemons made the announcement on Facebook and Twitter.

That brings the total to 12, and their names are expected to be on a ballot that includes City Councillor At-Large Felix Arroyo, community activists John Barros and Bill Walczak, Suffolk District Attorney Dan Conley, City Councillor At-Large John Connolly, District 5 Councillor Rob Consalvo, former state Rep. Charlotte Golar Richie, state Rep. Marty Walsh, David James Wyatt of Roxbury and District 4 Councillor Charles Yancey.

The Election Department continues to verify signatures that candidates had to gather in order to get a spot on the ballot. In related news:

-- On the at-large front, that field grew to 18 people on Friday. The new names on Friday: Dorchester’s Catherine O’Neill, Menino aide Ramon Soto, perennial candidate Althea Garrison, Francisco White of East Boston and Keith Kenyon of South Boston. The rest includes Frank Addivinola, Christopher Conroy, Michael Flaherty, Annissa Essaibi George, Jack Kelly III, Martin Keogh, Stephen Murphy, Ayanna Pressley, Jeffrey Ross, Gareth Saunders, Seamus Whelan, Douglas Wohn and Michelle Wu.

-- At a get-together at Stella’s in the South End, John Connolly’s campaign announced his co-chairs. Part of the email his camp sent out earlier today:

Susan Passoni is a South End activist and leading progressive voice in Boston.

Tim Schofield is a Gulf War veteran, a leader in Boston’s LGBT community, and has been a long-time activist in Allston-Brighton. He and his husband now make their home in the South End.

Val Hyman (DJ Val Beatz) is a DJ/on-air personality at Big City 101.3 radio station and lifelong Roxbury resident who is active in a host of community-based initiatives aimed at curbing youth violence and bringing AIDS awareness to the African-American community.

Ed Coppinger is the State Representative for West Roxbury and parts of Roslindale.

Beata Coloyan, a Hyde Park native who attended the Boston Renaissance Charter School and Boston Latin School, is currently a junior at Boston University.

-- Arthur Bernard, who has served as chief of staff to Gov. Deval Patrick and former state Senate President Robert Travaglini, is volunteering for the Golar Richie campaign.

-- Former District 6 Councillor John Tobin was on “All About Boston” last night, offering his perspective on the mayoral and at-large races.
