The two mayoral candidates appear on WBUR's Radio Boston. Before that, Mayor Menino attends the ribbon-cutting for W Hotels and Residences. City Councillor Michael Flaherty appears on Dan Rea's WBZ radio show in the evening.

10:30 AM Ribbon Cutting for W Hotels & Residences Boston

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will join W Hotel officials and members of the Chinatown and Theater District communities to celebrate the opening of the hotel and residences, marking the occasion of the first major commercial development project to benefit from the City’s Boston Invests in Growth initiative and the world-wide chain’s first hotel in New England. The opening of the W Hotel has enabled the addition of hundreds of permanent jobs to Boston’s economy.

12:00 PM 5th Annual Mayor’s Halloween Party for Senior Citizens
Knights of Columbus Hall, 75 West School Street, Charlestown

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will meet and greet 400 seniors from every neighborhood in Boston at the 5th Annual Party. Red Sox mascot “Wally the Green Monster” and other Red Sox staff members will give out candy and put the World Series trophies on display. Seniors and volunteers will be wearing costumes at the event, which is sponsored by the City’s Elderly Commission.
