Mayor Thomas M. Menino will join the Chinatown community, the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Transportation Secretary James A. Aloisi, Jr. to announce that a design team has been selected to renovate Mary Soo Hoo Park, also known as Chinatown Gateway Park.

10:30 AM Grand Opening of Hotel Chocolat
141A Newbury Street, Back Bay

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will officially welcome Hotel Chocolat to Boston’s Newbury Street tomorrow as the U.K. company celebrates the launch of their first U.S. location. Hotel Chocolat, opening in the same storefront in which the Mayor kicked off a retail opportunities tour in July, will further enhance Boston’s economy and provide renewed vitality to Newbury Street.

1:00 PM - Flu Clinic Photo-Op

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will join Dr. Barbara Ferrer, executive director of the Boston Public Health Commission, and Dr. Anita Barry, director of the Infectious Disease Bureau at BPHC, to discuss the City of Boston’s vaccine distribution plans in light of anticipated delays in delivery of the H1N1 vaccine. Mayor Menino’s statements will come at the Commission’s public health clinic where Boston residents can get vaccinated against the seasonal flu.
