Mayor Thomas M. Menino will deliver a new large recycling cart to a Brighton resident as part of “Recycle More,” the single-stream recycling program that began on July 1, 2009. Residents no longer need to separate paper and cardboard from cans and bottles, and results from the first quarter of the program show a 12 percent increase in recycling and a seven percent decrease in trash.
