How not to use Facebook in mayoral race

For an example of how not to use Facebook in a mayoral campaign, we turn to Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Tony Phillips, a councilman running for mayor, apparently engaged in a "flirtatious-turned-salacious" exchange in Facebook's chat option with someone purporting to be married woman.

The transcript was then sent to the Morning Call: The contents of the transcript show Phillips trying to distance himself from the woman because she is married, but later inquiring about her fidelity after she tells him that she lives in North Carolina and is unhappy with her marriage.

The revelation has led to his campaign manager leaving and Phillips contemplating dropping out of the race.
