Dot Jazz Series: Clear Audience

Thursday, September 12, 2019

Greater Ashmont Main Street and Mandorla Music are very pleased to co-present the 2019-2020 Dot Jazz Series at Peabody Hall in the Parish of All Saints Ashmont. Dot Jazz will take place on the second Thursday of the month from September 2019 until May 2020, with the exception of April when we'll be on the third Thursday. Doors will open at 7pm. $15 tickets are available at dotjazz.org and will also be available at the door.

We kick things off this year with the great quartet Clear Audience - Steve Fell (guitar), Andy Voelker (saxophones), Jef Charland (bass) & Luther Gray (drums). Boston jazz fans know these ubiquitous four individually - they're everywhere - and if you haven't experienced the synergy that happens when they're together, now's the time. Their 2015 release Medicine Ball earned a place on the Globe's year-end list of best local albums, where critic Jon Garelick referred to their "beautiful sound and full-on adventure."
