Boston Police are investigating a gunfire incident on Sunday evening on Tonawanda Street and trying to locate a potential victim in the case. Officers received a call about 7:30 that gunshots had been near Greenbrier Street in Fields Corner. The caller would not reveal any further information, and police began scouring the area for evidence and a victim. Officers were told that a victim might have fled towards Lindsey Street, but no one was found there.
Police did find four shell casings at the 100th block of Tonawanda Street, according to a BPD account. Further investigation revealed bullets had travelled into a home on the street. While the family inside reported they were safe, police found two bullet holes in the first-floor living room walls.

A 41-year-old man was arrested by Boston Police on Sunday afternoon after he was said to have been spotted stealing packages from a front porch on Babson Street in Mattapan. Jahar Pinkett was taken into custody on nearby Blue Hill Avenue after police canvassing the area located him based on witness, who yelled at the suspect. The stolen packages were recovered, according to a BPD account.

A 35-year-old Whitman man is facing multiple charges, including illegal gun possession, following a traffic stop on Columbia Road on Sunday around 1 a.m. According to a BPD account, the suspect— Christopher Andrade— was taken into custody after police say he was stopped for an unregistered vehicle. Andrade resisted arrest and was found to be carrying a loaded handgun in a fanny pack. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury court this week.

Boston Police report that officers who we were looking for a driver who rammed a cop breaking up a loud party on Westville Street shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday lost sight of his car as he sped away. They then spotted another speeding car on Geneva Avenue heading toward Bowdoin Street, which they eventually found parked a few blocks away on Norton Street.
“The engine was still hot, and there was a strong odor of burnt rubber in the air, “according to a BPD report. “While inspecting the vehicle, officers spotted a firearm in plain view near the gas pedal through the dark-tinted windows. The vehicle was identified as a rental and was towed for further investigation. The firearm was identified as a black Glock 17 9mm handgun with one round in the chamber and 30 live rounds in an extended magazine.
An immediate investigation led by C-11 detectives led them to a 19-year-old man named named Reymi Pereira as the individual responsible for the vehicle and firearm.
Pereira, of Roxbury, was charged with a number of unlawful firearm possessions.
