The mad dash for Easter eggs ensues seconds after the children were released into the Easter egg field on Saturday during the Dorchester Park Association’s annual Easter egg hunt. Some 100 children and parents participated in the eventful morning.
The Dorchester Park Association’s annual Easter Egg hunt took place last Saturday morning (April 19) with about 100 children and parents in attendance for the holiday event.
Eggs were strewn about the lawn and woods by the tennis courts with yellow caution tape to prevent anyone from hunting before the 10 a.m. start time.
The search zones were divided into two sections, one for toddlers, and the other for older kids. When the time came, volunteers gave the countdown and then the children were let loose.
In a matter of 10 minutes, the excitement had hit its zenith with most all of the eggs founds, opened, and the candy inside consumed. Families also took pictures with the Easter bunny and brought home free books that were on display.
