Early voting underway in state primary election

The state primary election is set for Tuesday, Sept. 3, but early voting opportunities start on Sat., Aug 24 at select locations in Boston. Unlike traditional polling, registered voters in Boston can vote at any assigned location during the early voting period.

On Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25, voters can go to the Mildred Avenue Community Center in Mattapan or the Richard J. Murphy School in Dorchester to vote between 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. The Perkins Community Center in Dorchester will be open on Tues., Aug. 27 from 12 -8 p.m. On Thur., Aug. 29 voters can go to Florian Hall on Hallet St., Dorchester from 12- 8p.m. Boston City Hall will also be open to voters on Monday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 30, 9 a.m.- 5p.m. For a full list of early voting locations go to boston.gov.

Polls will be open on Election Day, Sept. 3, from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
