Boston Lights display returns to Franklin Park Zoo

Boston Lights re-opened this month at Franklin Park Zoo in a bigger and better format than ever before – with additional areas of the zoo now open for a longer tour of even more amazing, illuminated creatures.

This year, a larger-than-life butterfly is situated in a corner of the Zoo rarely seen behind the bird sanctuary. Meanwhile, prepare to be dazzled as you are surrounded by the magic of all-new lantern displays, immersive walkthroughs like a Taj Mahal replica, and cool interactive displays like a dragonfly swing.

The display is open through Nov. 3 (but is closed this Saturday, Aug. 24, due to the Caribbean Festival). Hours are 6-10:30 p.m. through Sept. 30, and 5-10:30 p.m. Oct. 1 to Nov. 3.
