The Dorchester Reporter is celebrating our 40th anniversary this year!

On May 3, our friends from WCVB Ch. 5 Chronicle aired a segment featuring the Reporter and the Forry family, which has owned and operated the Reporter since 1983.

The episode of Chronicle was focused on family-owned businesses in New England.

It was not the first time Chronicle has visited the Reporter and the Forrys. The news magazine program has made several visits over the decades, including a memorable visit in 1984. Some of the vintage, archival footage is included in this episode.

The Reporter is planning a special commemorative edition on September 14 to coincide with the exact anniversary of the inaugural edition of the Reporter. A special event to mark the milestone is planned at Dorchester Brewing Company.
