District 3 Councillor Frank Baker hosted a ‘Thank You’ dinner as a farewell gesture to supporters, colleagues, and neighbors on Thursday evening (Nov. 30) at Florian Hall in Dorchester.
Guests included elected officials past and present and a recap of many of the accomplishments achieved in Baker’s 12-year run as councillor. He also gave an address to recognize staff members, family, and key supporters.
Mayor Michelle Wu attended and presented Baker with a street sign that reads "Frank Baker Way."
Baker will serve out the remainder of his term through December and Councillor-elect John FitzGerald will assume the seat on January 1, 2024.

In an emotional moment, Mayor Michelle Wu reminded everyone that she and Councillor Baker served many years on the Council before she became mayor and that she appreciated everything he has done in his time in office.
