Neponset RiverFest set for Sat., July 20

This year’s Neponset RiverFest is set for Sat., July 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at DCR Neponset Park in Dorchester.

The annual event celebrates the Neponset river, its surrounding parks and pedestrian paths, and the natural salt marshes and wetlands that support more than 200 species of birds, fish and other wildlife.

Activities will include canoeing, kayaking, biking, rock wall climbing, soccer demonstrations, a bouncy house, a casting/fishing clinic, multiple food trucks, gourmet ice cream, live musical performances, environmental and science activities, and more. The live music portion of the event will include performances by American Idol Season 13 finalist Sam Woolf, award-winning Indie folk soul vocalist Morgan Minsk, the Boston ILL Harmonic, and other local groups.
