The Boston Police Department reports a man found shot at 11 Emrose Terrace around 6:50 p.m. on Friday was declared dead at the scene.

Police say that officers were initially dispatched to Alexander and Bird streets a couple blocks away, where they found another man with gunshot wounds, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment. While investigating that shooting, somebody told them to check Emrose Terrace as well.
