Health care company makes multi-million dollar purchase in Mattapan

A company that manages three Boston health care facilities purchased a rehabilitation center at 405 River St. in Mattapan in a multi-million dollar sale, continuing its operations as Vero Health & Rehabilitation of Mattapan.

The Maryland-based, Delaware limited liability company Vero Realty II purchased the River Street property for $4,748,740 from Mattapan Realty, LLC on Jan. 24, according to documents filed with the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds. Containing 85 beds, the three-story, brick-fronted Mattapan facility comprises 24,537 square feet of living space on a 22,731-square foot lot, according to assessor's records.

Vero Realty, which is also associated with Vero Health Care, owns two other health care properties in West Roxbury -- Vero Health & Rehabilitation, Parkway, and Vero Health & Rehabilitation of West Roxbury.

Suffolk County property records show that Vero Realty acquired the three properties in late January 2017, purchasing the West Roxbury parcels for upwards of $4 million and $7 million from West Roxbury, LLC and Parkway, LLC. The three parcels had all been leased to Vero Realty since 2014.
